Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, in 1982, Chengetai has been singing and composing songs on her guitar since her childhood. Having moved to Johannesburg in 2002, on invitation from her records company, she did explore for almost 6 years the diversity of the Southern-African scene, collaborating with most proeminent artists as Afrika Revenge, Selealo Selota, Louis Mhlanga, Oliver & Samson Mtukuzi, Mac McKenzie and the Goema Captains from Cape-Town, Chris de Paris, Nseka Bienvenu from D.R.C., Frederic Galliano, Ben Amato, Sam Tshabalala, Molecule, and many more... In 2008, she moved to Paris, France, where she is presently living and working, getting busy touring the World with her "Rainbow Music", unique blend of soul, jazz and world music... Zimblue is her first album.
